About PDF Kite
PDF Kite does the everyday PDF jobs: putting phone photos into one PDF, shrinking a file to fit an upload limit, pulling a few pages out of a long document, taking a watermark or a password off a file you own.
Most free PDF sites do this by uploading your file to their servers, converting it there and deleting it later, and many cap how often you can use them before asking you to pay. PDF Kite runs every tool inside your browser instead. Contracts, bank statements, IDs and medical letters stay on your device, there's no daily limit and no account.
The work is done by two open-source libraries that run in the page: pdf.js, the PDF reader built into Firefox, to show and render pages, and pdf-lib to rebuild the file. Photos from iPhones are read with libheif.
