Convert HEIC to PDF

iPhones save photos as HEIC, which many computers and forms won't take. Turn them into a PDF here: the HEIC photos are decoded on your device, never uploaded.

Runs in your browser. Your files never leave your device.

How to use it

  1. Choose your HEIC photos, or drag them onto the box. They can be mixed with JPG and PNG images.
  2. Wait a moment while each photo is decoded, then drag them into order.
  3. Pick a page size and press “Convert to PDF”.

What is a HEIC file?

HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) is the format iPhones and iPads have used for photos since iOS 11. It stores a photo in about half the space of a JPG at the same quality, but Windows, many web forms and older software can't open it.

How HEIC to PDF works here

Each HEIC photo is decoded in your browser, turned into a high-quality JPG and placed on a PDF page. Where the browser can read HEIC itself, as Safari can, its own decoder is used; elsewhere libheif, the open-source HEIC reader, is loaded the first time you add a HEIC photo.

FAQ

Can I convert several HEIC photos into one PDF?

Yes. Select them all at once, put them in order and they become one PDF, a page per photo.

Can my iPhone save photos as JPG instead?

Yes: Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible. Photos you've already taken stay HEIC, so they still need converting.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. They're decoded and turned into a PDF on your device.
